The Winter 2009-2010 in Norheimsund
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for our wonderful stay at Norheimsund Gjestehamn over the winter. It has given "Whanake" total shelter from the wind and sea and even in your coldest winter in decades - no ice. The harbour has excellent facilities and very helpful staff.

The town has provided everything we needed - good bus networks to Bergen and the local ski resorts, welding services, services for wooden boats and plenty of English books to borrow from the library. Everyone has been very helpful and friendly. We have also enjoyed listening to all the 1980's music on the local radio!

We have been so lucky to be here in Norheimsund during such a spectacularly cold winter and we have had so much enjoyment snowboarding at the local ski resorts in beautiful powder snow. We also spent many days snowboarding in the local fields above the town - just a 15 minute walk from the harbor.
It simply has been the best winter of our lives
and everything we could have wished for - we vill remember it always.

We are now looking forward to sailing down Hardangerfjorden and enjoying the many beautiful anchorages and islands along the way. All the best for the summer and we hope it is as good as the winter has been.

Hivernage á Norheimsund
De retour a La Rochelle après une belle navigation Shetland-Orcady-Canal Calédonien-Oban (ou j'ai laissé le bateau), je voulais vous dire que j'avais eté tres hereux d'hivernes mon bateau chez vous á Norheimsund.

Le baie et les montagnes autour, le glacier au loin c'est magnifique! Mais semblant votre organisation est formidable, le quais au bois, le hall couvert et tout sela au milieu du village et juste sous l'oeil du Capitain et du Stein.

De plus les habitants et commerçants sont tres gentile et prêts a rendre service.
Vraiment c'est un tres bon hivernage.
